Looking around with dismay
Dread in heart and limbs
She hurries toward me
Body pinched
Holding herself tightly
Trying not to fall apart
He’s not ok
Oh my god
No tears
No breath
No words
Holding on to each other tightly
Sad relief
Endless loss
Trying not to fly apart.
