There are not enough tears in the world

For all the reasons  I cry today

Horrified tears of deepest sorrow

For lost children and the brokenhearted

Hopeless tears of futile anger

For helplessness and endless fear

Still, in all the painful sadness

Other tears fall unbidden

From the overflowing of my heart

Grateful tears of sweetest joy

For all the love surrounding me

Gentle tears of purest love

For those hearts I hold for safekeeping

There are not enough tears in the world

For all I must cry today.
